Roles in our team?
Head of Sustainability: Our Head of Sustainability has overall ownership of the Greater Good sustainability strategy and sets the direction of travel for sustainability at the airport. This role manages the sustainability team and liaises directly with the Executive, the Board, and shareholders to determine the high-level sustainability goals for the business.
Sustainability Engagement Manager: The Sustainability Engagement Manager works across the business and the wider community to drive
our sustainability strategy forward and engage stakeholders in its successful delivery. This role owns the “Trusted Neighbour” pillar of our strategy, helping to share our business success with our wider communities.
Carbon Manager: The Carbon Manager leads on the decarbonisation conversation across the airfield, working with
colleagues, partners, and contractors to better understand, and ultimately drive down emissions. This role has responsibility over the “Zero Carbon” pillar of our strategy, ensuring that measure, mitigate, and minimise emissions from our operations.
Our work at EDI
Zero Carbon: The team works to reduce or eliminate emissions across the airport’s operations, collaborating with campus partners, airlines, and key stakeholders, we implement strategies to cut emissions and work with local and national Government.
Enhancing Scotland: Through this pillar, the team addresses a broad range of environmental impacts and economic measures. We work in conjunction with the Environment Team to ensure that the airport not only minimises its environmental footprint but enhances it for future generations.
Scotland’s Best Business: In this area, the team partners with departments across the airport to foster a fair, inclusive, and supportive workplace – we are dedicated to helping colleagues bring their authentic selves to work and grow their careers.
Trusted Neighbour: Through this pillar, the team engages with local communities and neighbouring residents, working to mitigate the airport’s operational impacts. Our Community Fund shares the airport’s success with local organizations, while our charity partnership program, chosen by our staff every two years, provides focused support to a local cause.
