About the role
As a member of our Small Works Team, you will be responsible for all plumbing aspects of capital project and reactive works around Edinburgh Airport, from office and toilet refurbs to passenger stairwell refreshing. You will be expected to meet and exceed ISO Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Standards.
We are looking for a motivated and skilled individual to carry out day‑to‑day plumbing tasks across the airport campus, ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and compliant. Typical shifts for this team at 0700 – 1500/0800 – 1600.

What you’ll be doing
- Manage the plumbing aspect of the small works team, ensuring all projects are completed on time and to a high standard
- Liaise with logistics to order materials required for works
- Meet individual targets and contribute to overall team targets
- Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks as allocated
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures
- Fit and repair appliances across the airport, including taps, toilets, and pumps
- Install underground sanitary, drainage, and water supply piping systems
- Locate and repair faults in water supply lines, such as leaks
- Inspect and test plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance
- Identify plumbing issues and initiate appropriate repairs
- Respond to plumbing emergencies, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs as required
What we’re looking for
To apply for this role, you’ll need to have a minimum of 2 years experience in the plumbing industry.
Knowledge and experience
- Qualification at ONC/HNC level or equivalent
- SVQ/NVQ 3
- Operational knowledge of legionella control measures. Temperature testing, disinfecting, tank inspections, calorifier maintenance etc.
- Knowledge of any relevant National regulations or standards
- Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in commercial buildings.
- Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
- Good communication skills
- Problem solver
- Well organised and able to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
