About the role
The Recruitment team at Edinburgh Airport is responsible for talent attraction and onboarding of all Edinburgh Airport employees, across a range of departments and seniorities. We are looking for a motivated and detail orientated Recruitment Insights Intern to join our team for a 12 week summer internship.
This role will involve analysing recruitment trends, diversity data and candidate experience insights. It’s an ideal role for someone who enjoys working with data, is passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion, and is eager to make a meaningful impact on how we hire and support talent. You’ll help us understand what’s working, where we can improve and what we can be doing differently. Your work and recommendations will contribute to the ongoing development of our Recruitment and DEI strategies. We’re able to be flexible depending on what you’re interested in – there is opportunity for you to shape elements of the internship around the areas of recruitment you’d like to explore more.

About the Recruitment Process
The interview process for this role will be comprised of two stages. The first stage will be a Teams interview to discuss your experience, studies and motivation in applying for the role. For successful candidates, the second stage interview will be in person, with our Recruitment Coordinator and another member of our HR team, and will include a task which will be confirmed on invite to interview, competency and values based questions.

What you’ll be doing
- Collect, analyse and explain recruitment data (e.g application volume, peaks, source of applicant)
- Review metrics across the hiring process, including demographic trends, candidate progression and potential drop off points
- Build dashboards or visualisations to clearly present findings
- Support the preparation of statistics as required
- Benchmark our recruitment and DEI performance against industry standards and emerging trends
- Research tools or approaches to improve candidate experience and diversify our talent pool
- Provide evidence-backed recommendations to enhance our recruitment process
- Suggest improvements to job adverts, selection methods, sourcing strategies and candidate experience
What we’re looking for
A student who is currently enrolled in College or University, who is studying a relevant degree (E.g Human Resources, Business Management), and has an interest in recruitment and data led decision making
Key skills
- An interest in recruitment, people data, and/or diversity, equity and inclusion
- You’ll have strong analytical skills, and be confident working with data from different sources
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- Curious mindset, with a willingness to learn and influence change
