Internal Audit Manager
Finance
- Vacancy type: Full-Time Permanent
- Closing date: 05/06/2025
- Salary: £55,000+ depending on experience
About the role
As Edinburgh Airport continues to grow so too does the need to continuously improve internal controls, systems and processes and provide ongoing assurance to the Executive Team, Board of Directors, Audit and Risk Committee and other key stakeholders. Edinburgh Airport welcomed a new strategic investment partnership between Global Infrastructure Partners and VINCI Airports in June 2024, reinforcing the need for ongoing assurance, controls improvement and risk management.
Edinburgh Airport has decided to enhance its current risk and assurance activities through the recruitment of an Internal Audit Manager who will support the Head of Risk and Assurance with the ongoing assurance and risk management agenda. This is an excellent opportunity to support the business shape and define its internal controls under the new ownership structure and through a period of continued growth.
This is a broad and visible role that requires an individual of the highest calibre. The position will require extensive interaction with all facets of the business and demands a ‘can-do’ individual who is comfortable autonomously leading assurance reviews and presenting key findings and recommendations to senior management.
This role is more than ensuring compliance with basic internal control standards. It is about helping the business understand the value of best-in-practice risk management activities and providing commercial and actionable insights. The role captures a spectrum of internal control assurance activities, process improvement and risk management activities across all business disciplines. There may also be an opportunity to support the wider VINCI network with their assurance agenda, delivering assurance reviews to other VINCI airports.
Edinburgh Airport offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to develop their career in a fast paced and challenging environment.
