About the role

The role of Contractor Compliance Controller (CCC) is to engage with contractor works, ensuring that risks to the safety, environment & health of the EAL community and assets are controlled. You will be responsible for managing the Contractor Control Review Procedure to facilitate the coordination, implementation and control of third party works, in accordance with applicable with all airport policies and procedures.

About the Recruitment Process

The recruitment process will be an 2 stage process, where you will meet with our Contracts and Facilities Manager & our Contractor Compliance Team Leader. It will be a competency based interview, where you will be asked questions about your experience and motivations in applying for the role, and you’ll have the chance to ask any questions you might have about the role.

If you are successful in your first interview, you will be invited to an on-site interview where you will get a chance to tour the airport and meet stakeholders.

 
What you’ll be doing
 

  • Coordinate the process of third party works as appropriate to allow them to be delivered successfully whilst safeguarding EAL assets, operations and business objectives.
  • Ensure new companies are registered, vetted and monitored who are proposing to undertake works on the EAL, keeping track of the EAL induction process for contractors
  • Reviewing all contractor risk assessment and method statements, carrying out site safety inspections, and reporting matters of non-compliance by all contractors on site to the Contractor Compliance Team Leader.
  • Coordinate EAL Permit Systems and apply permitted systems to all works, and obtaining pre-approvals from EAL Dept. processes prior to work being authorised.
  • Liaise with EAL Projects on capital and non-capital works where third parties are operating on site.
  • Support the CCRU Team leader with compliance with Health and Safety, Security and Environment Policies, ensuring risk to all airport parties are minimised, and communicating to relevant parties of works being carried out on site.
  • Ensure monthly data for reporting and statistics on contractor works is up to date.
  • Assisting SEM with airport and departmental health and safety initiatives and procedures.
  • Assisting with Engineering SOP’s, risk assessments and method statements.
What we’re looking for
To apply for this role you’ll need
 
Essential:
  • This role requires the successful candidate to obtain a Counter Terrorist Check, so you must have been living in the UK for the last 3 consecutive years
  • Experience in the following: 
    • Risk Assessments
    • Method Statements
    • Contractor Management
    • Health/Safety/Risk management software (preferably OSHENS)
    • Management of departmental H&S procedures/reporting
  • Fully competent in the use of Microsoft office based applications
 
Desirable
  • IOSH qualification preferred, or being willing to undertake the qualification
  • Practical construction course certifications (CSCS, IPAF etc)
