About the role

The Digital & Parking Team at Edinburgh Airport is a small, distributed team using technology to create great travel experiences and optimise revenue. We look after the end to end journey from the passenger arriving at the airport in their car, to them transacting online, to their digital experience at the airport.

Our products include passenger-facing websites, internal tools to help operations run smoothly and efficiently, and our AirportX eCommerce platform, which we are selling to other airports globally as software as a service (SaaS).

About the Recruitment Process

The recruitment process for this role will be comprised of a 2 stage interview process. The first stage interview will involve some of our Digital team, including our Digital Paid Marketing Manager who will be the line manager for this role. The second stage interview will then involve our Head of Digital.

What you’ll be doing 

  • Delivering a project to the team and airport leadership, which could include, but not be limited to two or more of the following:
    • Assessing and setting future aspirations for our upgraded valet parking product, FastPark II, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Getting on the ground at the airport with an audit of our car parking estate, with a report back to the team and wider business. This will help direct future capital investment.
    • Benchmark Edinburgh Airport’s digital experience vs other airports and industries
  • Get involved with project discussions and decisions
  • Learn about the exciting world of aviation and build digital experiences to help make travel better for our passengers
  • Learn about eCommerce and help to build out our Multi-Airport booking platform, by testing and bringing new ideas
What we’re looking for

A student currently enrolled in College or University, studying a relevant degree

  • Excited at the prospect of working in a fast paced Digital environment but with a real, tangible product
  • Flexible and ready to get stuck in and help out with a variety of tasks
  • A self-motivated problem solver
