The training team are dedicated to creating and delivering high quality training to all employees at Edinburgh Airport and offer an extensive portfolio of courses. From training our security officers to identity guns and explosives from x-ray images, training our staff and partners how to drive around an airfield safely, to the incident management side of how to deal with an aircraft emergency. With the stakes this high, we need our training to be the best.
We are interested in integrating more technology and gamification into the training that we provide to our staff and third-party partners with the goal of having innovative and engaging training which could be considered the best in class for airports. This is where you come in.
You will work closely with our eLearning specialist and team of trainers, learning how to build online training programmes. You will use your unique expertise to suggest new and interesting ways of teaching people through digital media.

About the Recruitment Process
The recruitment process for this role will be a one stage interview with our eLearning Specialist, and our Head of Talent and Development. You will be asked to give a 10 minute presentation of your portfolio, go through some competency based questions and most importantly find out more about the role.

- Learning about our training facilities and working with our trainers and eLearning specialist to prototype interesting new ways to train our staff.
- Developing new courses and/or reworking our existing online training courses into something more modern.
- Identifying products and technologies which could improve the offerings of the training department.
- Tech literate: you quickly adapt to new technologies and software, and can see how they can be applied in different contexts. You will have a good understanding of current interactive digital media trends and developments.
- Problem solving: you enjoy the challenge of solving interesting problems and providing practical solutions.
- Creative: you are a creative thinker who considers user experience and visual design when developing content.
- Currently enrolled at College or University, and studying for a degree/qualification with a strong game and/or technology focus, for example, Digital Media and Interaction Design, Games Design, Games Development, Applications Development, etc.
- A portfolio of university and/or personal projects to show at interview.

- Full training in Articulate 360, an industry standard eLearning authoring software.
- Training in Microsoft Office 365 incl. MS Excel and MS Teams
- An optional Emergency First Aid at Work, or Mental Health First Aid certification.
- Exposure to behind-the-scenes airport operations and insight into how an airport runs day-to-day
