Before we make an offer of employment, you will need to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK and your home address. You do not have to be a British citizen to work here but you do need to have the right to work.
To meet our security standards, you will be asked to submit details of what you have been doing for the last 5 years. This covers your employment history or education, including any gaps where you have been unemployed or travelling for example. It is really important that you provide us with accurate details, if you don’t it will delay your start with us and may lead to an offer being withdrawn if we can’t verify what you tell us. You will also be required to undertake a criminal records check.
If your role requires it, we may need to carry out further checks, which may include counter-terrorism checks, proof of qualifications/licences held, drugs & alcohol tests and occupational health medicals. Some roles require you to have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years continuously.
Because we are committed to the safety of our colleagues and passengers, these checks may need to be completed before you join us and may result in a start date after offer taking 4 to 12 weeks. You will get full details of the referencing process necessary if you are offered the role.
