Job Purpose
The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the ramp operation is carried out in an efficient and safe way. The Ramp Supervisor is responsible for the leading and managing the Ramp teams under their
responsibility, acting in accordance to the company and airport
procedures whilst meeting the expectations of the airline customer.
The availability and correct usage of the GSE equipment is key to supporting and efficient aircraft turn. The role of the Ramp Supervisor is to
ensure that trained and competent staff only use GSE material that they
are qualified to use. The supervisor will be responsible for leading by
example and ensuring a consistent delivery of high performance
standards. Communicating at all times effectively with all departments.  
Skills & Qualities
Provide leadership and management of the ramp teams to ensure
operational performance to meet both airline and airport requirements
Safety is the number one priority – and the ramp supervisor is
responsible to ensure that all staff operating on the ramp are doing so in accordance to the training and all the safety standards.
Operating to a Zero tolerance policy
Oversee the planning and availability of ramp team staff and material
resources during the shift(s)
Lead and manage the briefing of the Team Leads at the beginning of the shift to ensure full situational awareness and to highlight safety issues / campaigns
Evaluates the staff under his responsibility – ensuring that there is
constant evaluation for training requirements or training refocus to
maintain the highest possible safety standards
Ensures a proper and clear handover to the next on coming shift  
Manage lateness/sickness on a daily basis completing the relevant paperwork and reporting to DMs/HR
