Lounge Host

Plaza Premium Lounge (UK) Limited part of Plaza Premium Group are looking for Lounge Hosts to join our team as we open our brand new unit at Edinburgh Airport. We are the global leader in independent airport lounges, pushing industry boundaries and making sure travel can be a luxury for all.

Summary of Position:

To greet and serve the passengers as well as monitor the lounge condition. Upsell where possible lounge facilities, such as upgraded drinks to the passengers.  Support colleagues in the lounge when it is busy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Guests in a friendly manner
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in the service areas
  • Set up and clearing of Food & Beverage outlets and stations
  • Replenish food and beverages in the food counters and refrigerators in a timely manner
  • Ensure sufficient stock levels of amenities are available. Keep storage properly
  • Serve liquors or beverages to Guests in the Lounge
  • Prepare and mix ingredients, such as liquor and soda for daily use
  • Use of cleaning products in a safe manner
  • To follow cleaning procedures including use of equipment
  • Health & safety in the workplace including Control of Substances Harmful to Health (COSHH)
  • Wipe clean all table tops and collect soiled dishes
  • Wipe clean and disinfect all glasses, utensils, equipment, service areas, door panels, wall panels, counters, directory boards and other public surfaces
  • Cleans floors. including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor
  • Ensure the services, hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness of the Lounge achieve total customer satisfaction and meet company standards
  • Create memorable experiences with professionalism and passion
  • Manage and anticipate guest expectations to provide a personalized service
  • Provide knowledgeable menu advice offering suggestions and recommendations
  • Ensure timely delivery from order to service
  • Operate point of sales system
  • Effective and consistent communication
  • Comply with licensing laws and other legal requirements.
  • Any other request within the scope of the position
  • The days and times of work will be on Rota basis over 7 days

Qualifications / Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience within a position in the hotel/hospitality sector
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external guests
  • Eager to learn, positive and energetic personality
  • Be organized and motivated
  • Able to remain calm under pressure
  • Possess a good command of English and have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.

Kitchen Assistant

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £9.90 per hour

Summary of Position:

To support the Kitchen by replenishing the buffet and when required assist with basic food preparation. Along with processing the cleaning of all crockery and cutlery, collecting stores and food to restock the cupboards and fridges along with the disposal of rubbish. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Keep the kitchen and store areas clean and tidy
  • Ensure all utensils, crockery and cutlery is clean and stored correctly
  • Replenish the buffet, assisting with keeping the area clean
  • Restock the cupboards and fridges when the stock arrive
  • Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation when they are busy
  • Follow all Health and Safety requirements for the Kitchen including food storage, manual handling
  • Disposing of any waste following the guidelines given
  • Well organized with good time management skills
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other colleagues in all areas of the lounge
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team
  • Any other request within the scope of the position

  Qualifications / Essential Skills:

  • Basic written and spoken English required
  • Ability to lift/carry/push items of up to medium weight
  • Previous experience in a Kitchen is an advantage

Kitchen Team Member

Summary of Position:

To ensure that the food produced is of the highest quality, exceeding the expectations of the guests and supporting the kitchen team

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To prepare dishes for consumption, following the Company’s pre-established recipes and menu
  • Support daily operations of the kitchen
  • Ensure the hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen and food counters achieve total customer satisfaction and meet company standards (ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to)
  • To project a positive and motivated attitude among all associates.
  • Any other request within the scope of the position
  • The days and times of work will be on Rota basis over 7 days

Qualifications / Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience in the culinary field required
  • Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset

Summary of Position: To greet and serve the passengers in a friendly manner and to have excellent knowledge of all bar products on offer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Guests in a friendly manner
  • Set up and clearing of Food & Beverage outlets and stations
  • Replenish beverages in the refrigerators in a timely manner
  • Ensure sufficient stock levels of amenities are available.
  • Serve liquors or beverages to Guests in the Lounge
  • Ensure the quality of beverages served are of a high standard

Summary of Position:

To greet and check-in passengers as well as monitor the lounge condition. Upsell where possible lounge facilities, such as spa treatments, to the passengers.  Support colleagues in the lounge when it is busy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet, receive and collect payment from Guests at the front reception counter
  • Assist Guests in a friendly manner
  • Responsible for the stock control
  • Guide Guests to assigned areas
  • Carry out regular checks of all areas of the Lounge
  • Collect and distribute magazines and newspapers. Arranging them neatly on the racks.
  • Ensure the quality of food, guest services, hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness of the Lounge achieve total customer satisfaction and meet company standards
  • Upsell where possible additional facilities.
  • Any other reasonable request within the scope of your position
  • To ensure the well-being, satisfaction and comfort of all guests within the limits of the Department and to establish a highly personalized style of service and attention to guests in keeping with the atmosphere of a lounge.
